RIP. Back in my days in the golf world he was involved with some Tour events. He was okay. Jane, not so much. I could tell stories-but, now is not the time. I am also thankful for the networks he started. TNT/TBS and their role in making the NBA games (and some NCAA Tournament games) available. And worth watching thanks to decent announcers vs local/league hires.

She had been in my thoughts recently due to her lack of posts. May she rest in peace,

I am so very sorry ๐. He was a very handsome fellow. I always looked forward to his cameos in your posts.

Hugoโs is on the โbetter onesโ.

Golden Steer just remodeled and expanded their space. It is a tourist trap. Plenty of better places for steak in LV.

Yes, I have ordered it 4x, and it has been excellent. Their weekly offers usually show up on the site on Tuesday at 1 pm PST, I usually order on Wednesday midday/or Thursday morning. My other source is also very good- https://www.regalisfoods.com/products/maine-bafun-uni?variant=38130516754629 But they seem to run out quickly. And their shipping can be pricey. Fair warning-it is a dangerous site to end up going down the rabbit hole and ordering more items than you originally plan on ๐ฎ๐ Hope that helps.

I'd suggest https://brownetrading.com/products/maine-uni Expensive, but always pristine.

As someone who has spent time around him during his time at Alabama during Coach Saban's first 4 seasons--he is a genius. And, not said lightly-he is the next "Nick Saban" (including the scowl ๐ which is pretty much the same win or lose) Rest assured, Bama was an awful football team in 2007 when UA hired Nick Saban. The 3 coaches before Saban were terrible (Mike DuBose, Dennis Franchione, Mike Shula (and also Mike Price-who never coached a game thanks to trying to proposition a coed in a campus elevator). They also couldn't recruit. Cignetti came in on CNS's first staff in 2007 as Recruiting Coordinator and Wide Receivers Coach. As RC-he brought in two back to back #1 recruiting classes in CNS's first 2 years (2007 and 2008) Including some names you may recognize-Julio Jones, Dont'a Hightower and Mark Ingram (Bama's first Heisman winner). In 2 years those players helped win Bama's first National Championship (2009) since 1992. Not only could he get the 5* recruits to commit, but he was is like a truffle hound-finding buried treasures that other recruiters missed or didn't offer scholarships. Like he's doing at Indiana right now. The classes he recruited before he left Bama won 2 more National Championships (back to back) in 2011 (12-1), 2012 (13-1). So, all that said-Saban Fatigue was real. Get ready for the redux with Cignetti. He is the real deal. The next "Nick Saban".

When I lived on the beach in N FL, we used to laugh at the "snowbirds" stopping in October for their first visit to the beach on their way to Orlando/Tampa/Miami. We'd make bets on which visitor we thought would have the reddest sunburn the next day ๐ Here, a lovely 70 degree day without a cloud in the sky. Low tonight will be around 50. Temps pretty much like that for the rest of the week.

Guess I shouldn't mention it will be in the high 60s here in LV tomorrow. And in the 70s by Wednesday. Oops, guess I did ๐

The airline flights reductions. Alabama Basketball played St. John's yesterday at MSG. We had to shift our charter into/out of HPN instead of EWR to be able to fly. Arrived early afternoon Friday. Yesterday's departure back to Tuscaloosa was set for 3:45 pm. I got lucky when one of our donors had an extra seat on his plane. We made it back to Tuscaloosa and went straight to the football game against LSU--only missing the first 5 minutes of the game. The team was not so lucky. They boarded around 3:30. And were kept on the plane. Wheels up at 8:15 ET. And arrived around 9:45 CT. Long day. Thank goodness we pulled off the upset! Oddly enough my flights back to LAS today went off as scheduled. But, I fly back on Wednesday. But judging from what I am seeing, it's going to be a long day (or two). And likely the same scenario for the return barrng a miracle.

unfortunately they are fully committed. Any other suggestions?

So what are the "best" sushi spots these days in NYC? Lunch or dinner. Price agnostic. TIA

Out of curiosity-what was the Knicks question?
