Tiger Woods' interview.

He mixes up his subject, object, and reflexive pronouns a lot. It's annoying.

He looks tired and sad, I think.

Is Kelly Tilghman his new date?
Interview.

"Tilghman drew criticism for remarks about Tiger Woods during a January 4 2008 PGA Tour Telecast. In response to co-anchor Nick Faldo's joke that younger players should "gang up" on Woods, Tilghman replied "Lynch him in a back alley". Tilghman was laughing during the exchange with Faldo at the Mercedes-Benz Championship, and Woods' agent at IMG was quoted as saying he didn't think there was any ill intent."
Wiki.

I guess they've both been in involuntary therapy.

who doesn't love a good lynching joke?

“One thing kids like is to be tricked. For instance, I was going to take my little nephew to Disneyland, but instead I drove him to an old burned-out warehouse. 'Oh, no!', I said, 'Disneyland burned down.' He cried and cried, but I think that deep down he thought it was a pretty good joke. I started to drive over to the real Disneyland, but it was getting pretty late.”

I would be really curious how Tiger felt about subjecting himself to the advertiser's public flagellation. It obviously doesn't say anything about "putting all this behind..."

And now allegedly sex with the neighbor's underage daughter?

If true, that's it.

I don't think he could recover from that, and he might be headed for jail.

Not underage. She was 21.

But still...one gets the impression he'd hit anything that moves.

Everyone needs to live their own life. It doesn't matter if the girl was 21 or 12, it's his business and the business of the authorities if someone was underage.

IMO the remarks made the Augusta National Director were worse than anything Woods did. Woods hurt two people his wife and himself (his children are too young to understand). He hurt his pocketbook and has no one to blame but himself because of the image he worked so hard to create.

The Augusta Director hurt Augusta National (not that they have the best image anyway), its members and patrons - plus he made a complete fool of himself and everybody who wears a green jacket. If Woods was in a better position he should have taken his golf bag and gone home. That would have hurt Augusta National more than anything else - ratings would have plummeted and sponsors would have pulled out.

Saying that, the commercial Nike made using the words of Woods' deceased father could be the most tasteless 60 seconds in television since Kruschev took off his shoe and pounded it on the UN's lecturn.

There are no winners here - only fools and voyeurs.

Ah yes, in a perfect world populated by saints.

But here in the actual imperfect world in which all of us imperfect human beings live, so-called "scandalous behavior" begets scandals.

Thus has it always been, is now, and always will be.

Something that celebrities whose income depends largely upon good will should remember.

Although good luck trying to change it.

Well...Maybe 12 should be everybody's business and concern. Other then that I never placed him on some other imaginary celebrity pedestal therefore was never hurt. Disappointed a bit? Sure! But in the end he's only a man and I certainly was not surprised.
