would recommend checking out German Village and the adjacent Brewery District.

Katzinger's in German Village makes a pretty good sandwich. Not New York quality deli, but as good as you'll find in the Midwest.

Reviving this thread in the hopes that someone has eaten there in the last two years. Paul will be in Columbus for this coming week and needs to eat several nonconference dinners. The only place on the Open Table list that I recognized, outside of national steakhouse chains, is Handke's Cuisine -- Chef Handke's daughter Susy was saucier at Le Bernardin when I externed there. But Paul needs some other places to go to. I can't imagine him going to steakhouses every night (he's Mr. "Steak Is Boring."). So any recommendations will be entertained.

Thanks.

Edited to correct Susy's job title; still a big responsibility!

no, and i'm no longer considering a job at a college an hour away (which is what led to this thread back in early 2007).

My dinner at Marcella's is not going to change anyone's mind but it did have a giant and impressively light meatball.

Light is impressive in context.
