Ouch.

I like Charleston; must be a reason for a business trip...

FIG:
Nice by the glass wine list which included a Charbono, a Cab Franc & a non-Zin Turley on the red side and a Gruner on the white.
The appetizer non-potato based gnocchi w/ricotta and a relatively light but rich bolognese sauce was enough for the 2 of us & was incredibly good.
My triggerfish entree was just about perfectly prepared, but Ginny ordered a steak — which was a good cut, done without fault — but basically a steak with good chimicchuri on it.
Desserts looked good but we didnt go there. No coffees or after dinner drinks either.
I think $220 covered our glasses at the bar and everything (including more glasses) at the table including tax/tip.
Service was friendly, efficient and reasonably knowledgable. But young and across the board new to Charleston.
Okay?

eta: Bar patrons to either side of us were eating dinner while we awaited our table & drank. The seafood pot & the red snapper were both being loved by those who were eating them. I would’ve asked for tastes but Ginny stopped me.

Thanks. I don’t know triggerfish. My fault, I’m sure.

Closely related to Anthony Comello - the kid from Staten Island.
