Is there really no thread here on Willows Inn? We had an amazing dinner there last year and are heading back next week for the First Harvest Dinner, wondered if anyone else will be there on Thurs?

Wow, super jealous. We were toying with the idea of going to that, such an amazing group of chefs, but then we bought a car instead (seriously). I expect a blow-by-blow account!

Still hoping to make ti to Willows for a 'regular' dinner this summer or fall.
It may have been Camelot for Jack and Jacqueline
But on the Che Guevara highway filling up with gasoline
Fidel Castro's brother spies a rich lady who's crying
Over luxury's dissapointment
So he walks over and he's trying
To sympathize with her, but thinks that he should warn her
That the Thirld World is just around the corner

Frank Bruni of the NY Times visited in 2011, and was quite impressed with it. Here's a mouthfuls mention of the place:

NYT
"Peter Kiewit looked for three things in hiring people. He looked for integrity, intelligence and energy. And he said if a person didn’t have the first…that the latter two would kill him. Because if they don’t have integrity, you want ‘em dumb and lazy. You don’t want ‘em smart and energetic.”

Tighe, we are very excited about it, and yes you really need to get up there for a 'regular' dinner- if they can be called that!
