Contra opened last night.  I had a work dinner elsewhere, so couldn't sample the food, but the space is small, spare, and quite pleasant.  Famous itinerant sommelier Linda Milagros Violago is doing her trademark natural wine list, though I think she hasn't described it that way to the press.  Some good stuff to drink there already, and the list is slated to grow.  I'll be back soon for dinner, and you can eat at the bar.

We were going to go tonight, but I got invited to a friend's for a barbecue instead.  Looks "interesting."

If the food is half as good as the Nintendo game of the same name, we're in for a real treat.

I met Linda at In de Wulf. Her approach to wine, and life, is fabulous.

I have a sense of the former.  What's your take on the latter?

I understand when my pix suck, but shouldn't the published pix from the VV be better than that?

And when did it become 'in the LES' rather than 'on the LES'?

I'm having dinner there tomorrow (Friday). I'll report back. (In the meantime, I can say that the glass of wine I had at the bar last week was super tasty.)

Joe,  Those dishes wouldn't entice me there.
