I'll check & let you know.  we have a friend coming into town that weekend for a convention, so I'm not sure when we get to visit with him...  [eta - and I may have to bow out for a little while anyway.  once my allergy tests are complete I'm likely to be handed some annoying food restrictions for a month or two ]

I'm out the 10th for sure.

I'm also out the weekend of the 27th.

I'm pretty sure there are enough dumplings to go around, so why don't we do both the 7th and the 28th, assuming anyone else besides myself and Da Goose is available that weekend?  (could also do the 27th if that makes a difference)

eta October is insane for me, so I'm thinking of the 28th as Early October :)

Sounds like a great plan. Where should we go on the 7th?

I was thinking dough zone if folks are willing to brave the eastside?  We can either do morning or evening as y'all prefer.

Sounds good to me. I prefer morning but really can go any time.

eta: We should carpool for sure. I can drive if people want to meet at my house first?

Likewise I would love a ride.  I'd kind of prefer the morning dimsum option, but it's all good.

I'm in. Prefer daytime and would also like to catch a ride if there's room. What time?

I can also drive if there are too many for one car on the 7th.  I am also available the 28th for dim sum.

Well that was a fabulous start!  Thank you Da Goose for recommending it.  The outstanding winners were the Xian buns, the juicy pork aka soup dumplings, and (I hear) the pork-shrimp dumplings.  I could live happily on the Xian buns, with an occasional batch of spicy cucumbers as a token vegetable :D
