I probably shouldn't have been, but I was surprised to find out that she was gay. In those early days, you couldn't write songs about that, so I guess that's why she sang about girl-boy angst. Sold well, at least.

I honestly couldn't name any of her other records.

 

But it's for the logical reason that she had just that one hit in the UK, and a string of hits here.
