No one from Portland. You are the first.

I'm in Seattle. I will check out your site. I know Jim Dixon.

I recall Elissa wrote a controversial review on Portland on this site. I will try to dig it up for you.

edit: er, just checked... her review was on OA, not here.

... Hey, I know Jim Dixon, too.  Well, I buy olive oil from him...

A couple of years ago Jim Dixon came up to Seattle and nightscotman hosted an olive oil tasting party with a variety of Jim's olive oils and some apps to try the oils with. I bought the Don Alfonso one and another, that was more peppery (looking on his site it must have been the Olio Novo). Very good the both of them.

For anyone else interested in looking at Jim's websiste (he is also Restaurant reviewer for Willamette Week) and the site also includes some recipes, including a delicious roasted cauliflower recipe that I love click on Jim Dixon's Real Good Food

Hey, I just heard Jim Dixon also sells sea salt. Damn good sea salt from what I hear, and I heard this from a very reputable source. Does he sell any at the Farmer's Market as well?

Yes, when he's at the market (once a month), he sells his salt. See his website: http://www.realgoodfood.com. I only buy his olive oil now.

a delicious roasted cauliflower recipe

...and still not attributing the recipe to its source, an article written by Amanda Hessser in the NY Times.
