Our own Pim has popped and will soon have a Thai restaurant downtown. To me, it's just about the best news I've heard in a long time and makes more sense than a lot of other prjoects. Good luck, Pim. I hope it's an insane success!

"Gay people exist. There's nothing we can do in public policy that makes more of us exist, or less of us exist. And you guys have been arguing for a generation that public policy ought to essentially demean gay people as a way of expressing disapproval of the fact that we exist, but you don't make any less of us exist. You just are arguing in favor of more discrimination, and more discrimination doesn't make straight people's lives any better." -Rachel Maddow to Jim DeMint and Ralph Reed

If you want me to give it a rest, don't ask that question. :)

You know, I really wasn't planning on wading into any of this. But this I really would like to know, what have I ever done to you, Suzanne? :)

I can't even.

more on kin khao

“One thing kids like is to be tricked. For instance, I was going to take my little nephew to Disneyland, but instead I drove him to an old burned-out warehouse. 'Oh, no!', I said, 'Disneyland burned down.' He cried and cried, but I think that deep down he thought it was a pretty good joke. I started to drive over to the real Disneyland, but it was getting pretty late.”

Read above?

I've never been to the current place at Parc 55. Pim, which side of the hotel?

With Mikkeller around the corner and now this, that area has (well in November) suddenly become quite the opposite of a wasteland it was (not that walking down Mason to Mikkeller you would know).

Ya, they opened a bar here a couple months ago. Beers are great (more of a learning experience for me as when it comes to beers, I'm pretty norcal). Food is pub done well (smoke their own sausages, etc).

They do have stools though.

I had better carve out time to go to Mikkeller during my trip.  Well, if the wedding I'm going to is a dud....
