In what will undoubtedly make some sad, some not so much, Spring is closing.

Interesting.    Do you have more info?

eta, aha, found his announcement on the Spring website.

Many thanks.

Well, this'll give us something to talk about next visit to LCC.

Yep - we were at Le CC for dinner Saturday night; saw Daniel for about 3 minutes (he brought us over some prosciutto and melon for a snack), but was running to the airport to catch the last flight of the night to Paris.  All while being a little coy about new plans.

Just blowing off steam, but I realized today that almost all of the restaurant reviews are written by critics/bloggers who dine at lunch.    Fine if that's your plan, but their experience, carte, price have little to do with evening service.    Annoying...

Hi,  I'll be in Paris from tomorrow (27 january) until 5 feb.  Is anyone available for a charming semi-frugal but lovely lunch or dinner? I'm on my own until the 2nd, when my friends from Lille and Cherbourg come down, so probably we set something up before if possible.

Gosh, Cheesemonger, your life is horrible. I don't know how you can bear it.

Please, no apologies. Just continue to drag us along on your rather brilliant coattails.

Yes, we love hearing about it.

I am available tomorrow, but in the wrong country.

Oh, yeah, that was not in any way meant to dissuade Cheesemonger from continuing to post this great stuff (or to make her feel guilty for her current circumstances).

I’m back, have had weird internet... I’ve been here in Paris for a couple of days, and doing lots of walking, except for today, as it’s raining. I’m typing on the iPad mini, which is annoying and can’t grab BBcode with, but tomorrow I will hopefully be able to.

And no worries, Sneak, I was just feeling a bit low and lonely for a bit there, and I try not to ever let on that sometimes my tiara is indeed too heavy.

Good to hear your voice. While you're there, do pick up some Alvalle gaspacho and a pot of Prunier pork or goose rillettes + a baguette for a couple of cheapo lunches. Any Monoprix or such. One of my favorite meals and food vignettes.

That's good info, thank you- there's a Monoprix very near here.  Also the Aligre Market is close, and that place is amazing. I'm excited because tomorrow I move into an airbnb with some friends who are coming in, and I can cook for a few days- so I can shop instead of just gawk at the market goods. I have already planned my attack!
