Given the comments made publicly and others by PM, I'll read through the thread.  Perhaps a current "best of Boston" excerpt with the most recent posts could be the nucleus of a curated thread. Not unlike the Mouthfuls "Best of" various neighborhoods elsewhere.

And who better than Suzanne F to create such a list?

If people want Yelp, they can go to Yelp.  It's there, and it's already destroying critical discourse in America.

Sneak I'm not sure I understand why you think making a Boston restaurant report thread would equate to Yelp but I could be misunderstanding your statement.

Just putting what I said up-thread another way, I don't think it's too much to ask for two different threads: one talking about specific Boston restaurant reports and another for this other discussion.

There is currently just one active Boston thread -- the last active thread was started in 2013 with the last post in 2015. Personally I would love to have more threads on Boston and splitting this current one off into two would accomplish the goals of all involved I think.

Abby, I understand what you're saying and, for whatever little it may be worth, don't disagree with you at all.  My comment wasn't directed at you.  Honestly.
