He covered up a lot of bad behavior by his players while he was at UF. I cannot imagine a lot of people in the SEC who heard those stories are shocked by him covering up for an assistant coach now. If OSU doesnt fire him, I will be shocked.

I just watched an episode of "Training Days: Rolling with the Tide".  Thought it was really good.

The first two were both pretty good. I was around for a lot of the filming of both (and one more of the next 2 to come). Let's people see good bits of what really goes on within the program.

Steve, you would enjoy sitting down with Nick. He is a master psychologist when it comes to motivation (and helping kids get their heads on straight) on and off the field.

Does it include the coaching on how to feign a family crisis so you can get released from your LOI to go play for the Tide instead?  :ph43r:

It may have been Camelot for Jack and Jacqueline
But on the Che Guevara highway filling up with gasoline
Fidel Castro's brother spies a rich lady who's crying
Over luxury's dissapointment
So he walks over and he's trying
To sympathize with her, but thinks that he should warn her
That the Thirld World is just around the corner

I can see how Tuscaloosa is more convenient to Reno than Seattle would be.

I would love to meet him.  Most, if not just about all, coaches understand that, while raw physical ability is a prerequisite for athletic success, it is (by far) not the whole package.  There are few who are able to put the balance into practice in a way that gets consistent results & even fewer who can verbalize what they're doing and why.  He seems to be at the head of that pack.

Amazingly enough, I've never had any urge to meet Bobby Knight (sarcasm).  However, Rollie M. was the basketball coach at my college when I was a freshman.  The tennis team was only Division III.  He helped me figure out how to convert to squash (we had a top 10 Div. I team) by utilizing the commonalities of all sports.  He also was very nice in making me realize that organized basketball was not in my future in any form other than intramurals.

I thought LSU was better than that. Or maybe I underestimated Alabama. Will they do that to Georgia (or Clemson)?

And, does Tua have a chance to make it in the NFL?

To SteveR
They are a good team. Probably the 2nd best in the SEC. Should finish 10-2.
Yes, you likely did. This team is very special.
Yes, he is an incredible talent. Russel Wilson and Drew Brees (among many others) marvel at his talent.

And, just as an aside, his little brother is a special qb too. There could be two Tagovailoas at Bama next year 😎. Along with the strongest incoming recruiting class I have EVER seen at Alabama (presuming they all, or most sign in February). And I have seen a lot of good classes during my time with Alabama.
