The restaurant element will be TWC writ large.  How surprising.

Sutton rails against it in Eater.

It could’ve been an effort in creating a sense of community.

But why should it have been?  I'd like to see all the things that Sutton would like to see, but the part of the argument that's missing is what incentive the owners have to do anything other than try to attract businesses and wealthy residents.  Perhaps he thinks the city should have withheld permissions in order to get small business quotas. That's a debate to be had; but what's the point in complaining about business people making what seem to be wise business decisions?

Belcampo. A 100 day dry aged burger, with raclette.

I’m in the market for 100 day dry aged shepherd’s pie with HP sauce.

Oh and caramelized onions, mayo, mustard on a brioche bun, just in case you taste the beef. $28.

It's a stupid piece and Kimmelman is an idiot.

I guess we've found something worse than architects having opinions about urban planning – it's architecture critics having that kind of opinion.

I didn't tip at Per Se either.

I, along with the perpetrators of seemingly every financial institution in New York, was at a preview of The Shops (where the restaurants are) last night.

As I walked into the mall, in the middle of the lobby, encircled by a vast throng of white people holding champagne flutes, was a drumline enthusiastically doing its routine.  This was obviously intended as a hip show of inclusively -- but it couldn't help looking like a buncha of African-Americans shuckin an jivin for massa.

I was worried they wouldn't let me back into Prospect Heights when it was time for me to go home.  But Prospect Heights has changed.

I would, however, like to know by what criteria of urban planning taion can consider this development anything other than an atrocity.

The Belcampo mortadella sandwich was very good.

Maybe this is why taion thinks it's good for the city and we inhabitants.
