NYC's toughest dining reservation isn't Frenchette or Le Cou Cou or Olmsted or Atomix or any other high-level place that comes to mind.
By far it's the Blue Box Cafe. I have been trying for months to get in anytime during December and January. Peggy has been craving to go, but no luck. I'm on the waiting list for nine specific dates - no luck yet. They open their reservations 30 days in advance at 9am est. Still impossible.
And there is no secret number unless you spend over six figures in their downstairs store.
So there it is.
