Last week, my cleaning lady actually brought the Falk saucier over to me at my computer as I was writing.

"This," she said, "now this is a nice pan."

"You should get more of these," she added.

C'mon, you can't really complain about the price of that cookware, can you?

Giving up a meal at Frenchette, or a meal or two at any of the multitude of places you dine at, will buy you a piece of cookware that will provide joy for a lifetime.

Actually, this has been my lifetime philosophy.    Or as husband puts it when I am balking at the cost of something i want, "How many glasses of champagne would that buy you in Paris?"

Jesus, that raw fluke with beets dish at Intersect - 4 dates, and you could buy a saute pan!

The saute pan wouldn't thank me for buying it.

At times like this I'm happy our cleaning lady only speaks Georgian.

it's a good thing i didn't click on that link till the sale was over; i've been having some trouble with impulse control of late.

I'm glad I missed this.

Is it bad that I keep reading reviews on the Breville Oracle though?

It's a gorgeous machine - I just wonder with it doing so many different things, what the mean time between failures is.

2 year warranty, use the right credit card and double that.

Ugh, you’re not helping! :)
