I hate to say it, but I see what joe sees in this stuff.


I'm certainly not about to replace the other copper cookware I'm fortunate enough to have accumulated over the years. But, if I had the opportunity to do it over again, most of that stuff would be Falk.


In the I'm an idiot category, when I got my first Mauviel copper saucepan a long time ago, it was (as copper was) tin-lined, and I decided to make popcorn in it, because I was excited and I just wanted to use it.  Do you know what temperature tin melts at?  Do you know it's not a great idea to preheat a tin-lined copper pan, over high-ish heat, in order to pop popcorn?
