Whatever flaws there were in his residency at Racine's, they do not exist here.

Yes, you could pick out some minor defects here and there.  But the whole is fucking great.

Just go.

Thanks for the heads up, Sneakeater! As it happens, we’ll be in NYC this weekend and hadn’t yet made Saturday dinner reservations. So, just booked for 8:30 p.m.

I can't wait to hear what you think!  (Although I have a pretty good idea . . . .)

The food is fantastic. The wild duck – wow. Their wine list is quite fun, too.

The longer tasting menu, however, is a conspicuously bad deal relative to the rest of the menu. Probably fine in absolute terms, but notably overpriced next to everything else.

I didn't tip at Per Se either.

Thoughts on chances that the dates will be extended?

They generally don't extend at Chef's Club.  They usually schedule things out in advance.

Yes.

Ideally caviar + duck (although there might be some criminality in calling Rohan duck "wild")

I think I may have offended the waiter by calling the black bass "between chewing gum and puke"

Not at the same time!

The rock solid butter is also a nice touch. Also no PL.

When we went, there was confusion when we ordered because when I called to get some information about the menu, the person I spoke with led me to believe it was a prix-fixe. That was, in fact, not so. It was a la carte with prices listed on the menu for each dish. However, looking at the menu on the website, it now says, “The PL Spring Menu $95.”
