Despite the protective relics in the spire not quite doing their job, maybe new, improved relics will speed construction.

Yes, new improved relics are always a good thing.

 

And since Steve R will be there for the whole month of May, he can supervise the new relic installation.

If you agree to come to Paris, I will agree to supervise your installation.

 

On a more serious note, I am happy about the extent of the damage being reported, as I expected much worse when I first started this thread.  Notre Dame has always been one of my favorite sites to visit and we've climbed tower stairs, taking close up pictures of the gargoyles (some with an amazing resemblance to Mongo... but that's a different topic -- and dangerously close to violating one of MFF's sacred guidelines).  We fully intend to go by many times during our month there, but I'm guessing that they won't ask for supervision.
