first, saint dinette. the conceit is north american food following waterways from canada to the gulf of mexico. not sure any of it hangs together but pretty sure that the meal was both unobjectionable and uninteresting and cost too much for what it was. report here.
then, handsome hog. a southern restaurant opened by top chef and local restaurant alumnus, justin sutherland. some things were pretty good (brisket, mussels, pecan pie, a smoked pork chop, ribs), others were okay (fried chicken, salmon, pork belly). cocktails were inconsistent. and it was way too expensive for what it was. report here.
