Is this the thread to point out that, despite predictions, the Yankees are simply crushing the Twins in the dust, as usual.

Loved Tanaka today. Hope Stanton holds up.

The Kershaw curse continues.

I think it's "The Kershaw Choke."

The Dodgers' power was off again tonight.  So the series returns to LA for a 5th and deciding game on Wednesday.  The oddness of this being a 5 game series is that the Nationals do not have the Dodgers' depth and the Dodgers would likely outlast them in a 7 game series.  Now the Nationals only have to win one game to advance.  If they do advance, they will be facing a 7 game series and all that requires.

Then that happened.

If they do advance (the hated Nats) it only means that once again, the Dodgers have failed at their quest for a ring. But you knew that.

And I know someone here, not posting these past few days/weeks, who didn't even want the Yankees in the playoffs.  They sure are playing as if they belong.

It's me. Never witnessed a team turn it off and on like they did. After a horrible September (they mailed it in after the Red Sox sweep), I thought for sure it was over and the injuries finally caught up to them.

As a life-long Yankee fan, I'm glad but amazed.

If the Rays can get Houston to go five, all bets are off!

The Astros are probably correct, but pushing Verlander on three-days rest at this time of year and at his age is asking for trouble. It may work, but it's not the smartest move I've seen.

When a team begins to panic it gets greedy and the results are predictable.

While Houston is still the overwhelming favorite to win Thursday, tonight's pitching choice was a managerial nightmare. It's what happens when the players run the asylum - just ask Terry Collins if he wish he made the right choice in the 2015 World Series.

And just for the record, Matt Harvey finished this year struggling in Triple A for the Oakland A's.

The Dodgers have moved into the pathetic zone.  Really, Kershaw, back to back hanging sliders?  Yes, you might want to check the Nationals' bats to see if they have lead in them, but how many golpher balls can you throw?  It's like the old days when the Dodgers would win the NL pennant and face the Yanks in the series.  The Yankees demolished them until 1955.

The use of chokeshaw in that relief situation baffles me.

Weren't their real relievers pretty good all season?

Talk about panic mode.

Managers so often over-manage in the playoffs. Last night was an example of that.

If Washington makes it to the World Series, they should vote Roberts a share.
