I'm so happy that this seems doable for most people. I will probably bring my friend Rob to the party.

The 23rd also works for me. It will be great to see MsRamsey up here! Hubby will be traveling that day, so he'll miss it.

Ditto. MsRamsey and BBQ sound like a must do. We'll decide on a side as the menu shapes up.

Hey, I am here too. I am full of stuff from the taco crawl so I shouldn't be tempted by more food but I think that I should be hungry by then. 4/23 looks good for me. I will bring something vegetable/salad-like but need to give more thought as to what is seasonal next month. wl

I'm in!

Will have to think about what to bring (in addition to WINE of course) as most of the basic BBQ food group seems to be covered.

Tighe, any suggestions ?

Plenty of options still available...how about potato or pasta salad of some sort? Really anything that strikes your fancy is fine.
It may have been Camelot for Jack and Jacqueline
But on the Che Guevara highway filling up with gasoline
Fidel Castro's brother spies a rich lady who's crying
Over luxury's dissapointment
So he walks over and he's trying
To sympathize with her, but thinks that he should warn her
That the Thirld World is just around the corner

I'm already bringing potato salad (scroll way, way up), but cole slaw hasn't been mentioned yet, nor macaroni salad, nor cornbread, nor greens, nor sweet potato pie....

Well, I've just found a great-sounding Pasta Salad with Tomatoes and Corn (we can pretend it's summer) and I'd like to stick with that. It's mayo-free so it will travel well.

I'll also bring a few bottles of wine.

No way, I don't believe I am finally going to meet Vengroff -and- Abra -- and on the same day.

And Char, I think your pasta salad sounds yummy. I wasn't suggesting that you switch, rather making sure that those who joined the thread later knew what was already taken care of.

This is gonna be a swell partay...

Since Abra is not making cheese enchiladas, which got my antennae up (yum, that sounds good), I'm thinking of making Jayme's Chile Rellenos Casserole using fresh roasted poblano chiles, or macaroni and cheese with collard greens.

Oh you weren't scaring me off...just wanted to make sure we didn't have too many similar salads.

Yes, all this and Mojitos from Rocky....maybe I'll finally learn how to make a decent one!
