Jacques Torres will be opening a sweets shop at Newark Liberty Airport's Terminal C (United)

Melange Bakery is part of a chain he's established for cookies, chocolates, baked goods of various sorts.  http://www.nj.com/es...cart_river_home

“It must be remembered that there is nothing more difficult to plan, more doubtful of success, nor more dangerous to manage than a new system. For the initiator has the enmity of all who would profit by the preservation of the old institution and merely lukewarm defenders in those who gain by the new ones. ”

Eater rightly calls the list of chefs lending at least their names to food spots set to open in the new Terminal C "insane":

Paul Liebrandt

Alain Ducasse

Daniel Kluger

Amanda Cohen

Kevin Pemoulie (of Forty Acres)

Harold Moore

Alex Stupak

Ainat Admony

Mario Carbone (he had a place at JFK before opening Torrisi's, remember?)

Amanda Freitag

Dale Talde

Josh Capon

Jose Garces

John DeLucie

did this ever materialize

Instead it's like an Aldi food court. Fake brands owned by the commissary provider. My favorite is the fake seafood shack

Doesn't anyone like Cinnabon?

Maybe not the most politically correct, but funny.

And there ya go. I have to admit, I ordered chicken lettuce cups and the chicken looks like dried ground beef. The noodles might be the way to go. Or the baos.
