@Ori - with the espelettes, are you drying them for grinding, or using fresh? Both?

Confit in olive oil, pulled out the seeds (easier after they're cooked, actually), then ground together into a smooth paste with a bit of salt. Lasted about a week, I'm guessing if you want to keep it longer you'd need to freeze.

Taking my cue from Sneakeater, spigarello!

Also, Quattro Farms whole chicken.  Pork chops (look real good) from someone.  Peppers, tomatoes, zucchini, cucumbers, breakfast radishes, corn. Flowers for wife.

The winter Greenmarket is actively depressing.

I guess my problem is that I don't have any belief in a cute baby messiah to cheer me up.

They should just close the markets in winter.

Because no fisherman, meat and dairy producers, bakers or orchardists should be allowed to do commerce when you can’t have tomatoes?

Fisherman mostly don't fish in the winter around here.

Go ahead. Eat you storage apples. I'll sup on Pineapple and Quail.

Won't someone think of the pretzel makers?

Martin's are my favorite. I like the mix and match, salted and un.

If they all rented stores, that would just garner the same criticism as Chelsea Market, Essex Market, Little Mercado, Le District, and every other market everyone hates. Unless you're talking individual stores  :)
