The $25 ceiling forces the critic into reviewing obscure outer-borough destinations that most readers don’t care about.

Or grabbing yet another burger. laugh.gif

It's hard to be an elitist under $25.

This got so backed up they told us to just leave our bags and they'd sort through them and were indignant when I insisted they hand take my bag and place it on the conveyor belt.

Did you burp?

I'm so confused where I should put this.
I would like a very good camera.
Macros and shooting in bad light are more important than pixels or landscapes or zoom.

Maybe you could get Olympus to modify their design of their Stylus slightly to come up with a bean shaped machine for you.

I don't think I've seen it since 1966. Which one is it where the male and female leads argue using book titles? And which one has the egg-flipping scene?

Edit: I think both of the above are from Une Femme Est Une Femme

A Band Apart holds up pretty well--especially the dance sequence.

Hmmmm.

Giggity.

(Stalking is such an ugly word.)

After waiting patiently for her to bare all, I got nothing but a black screen.

#742801 Tower Records

Tower now has most stuff at 20% off in its going out of business sale. Pretty sad. Are record stores an anachronism? No more music store buzz? No more store staff oneupmanship as chronicled in Hornby's High Fidelity? Is it all gonna be internet and Target and Best Buy loss leaders and oldies collections at Costco?

Oh people, look around you
The signs are everywhere
You've left it for somebody other than you
To be the one to care
You're lost inside your houses
There's no time to find you now
Your walls are burning and your Towers are turning
I'm going to leave you here and try to get down to the sea somehow

Some new walk/don't walk (actually pedestrian/hand) signs have started to appear. They do a flashing countdown of the number of seconds you've got left to get across to the other side. Now, if they would just play the Mission Impossible theme or maybe the Ventures' Walk Don't Run.

Saw a guy noodling around on his laptop. He had a very fluffy toy poodle with him. It was pure snow white except for the first 3" of each paw which had been dyed yellow--to simulate boots, I guess.

I offer, from my little archives of the Outstanding in the Field farm dinners: the incredibly talented and gorgeous and humble Ms. Justine Miner.

From the picture and your description, Ms. Miner appears to be a wonderful chef. Unfortunately, if she has not done the de rigueur blender shot (or at least posed in a cheerleader outfit) she is not eligible for consideration on this particular thread. Certainly, if she has done, that's another story and requires evidence. Of course, of course. A picture's worth a thousand words as they say.

I don't know, but it beats talking about whatever is going on on some other threads, eh?
