Really? She always struck me as kind of sad, kind of a forced wackiness. I think I'm alone in my opinion, however.

It was at a mostly A-list celeb party, lots of musicians too. Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell seemed pretty grounded.

Goldie and Kurt have a house just a few blocks from me. The people in the neighborhood that have met her say she is just like everyone else with money in this area....actually, a bit nicer.

They also have a summer place in the Muskokas; I met several people who know them who say the same.

She's wacky when nobody's looking, believe me - and in my brief experience, perfectly pleasant.

When I saw her in early January, the lips were even worse. She needs to cut back on the collagen injections. But, as a person, she seemed quite down to earth. Very nice and polite. She was very chatty and undemanding while speaking with the waitress who was working our section of the pool deck.

Considering her long career, I was mildly surprised to see that she has acted in only 30 something movies.

They say it's best to get "a little bit done at a time". Clearly it worked for her until about 50, she had a fantastic figure when I saw her. But after awhile maybe it's best to know when to stop getting that one more thing done. First folks start to look way too pulled back, then their features start looking blobbish.

And after that, they look like Rourke.

"The fact is I don't know what'll become of us.
Here it is the middle of August and the coldest day of the year. It's simply freezing; the dogs are sticking to the sidewalks; can anybody explain that? No.
But I'm not surprised. The whole world's at sixes and sevens, and why the house hasn't fallen down about our ears long ago is a miracle to me."
