um, i guess you didn't know, but lex can't actually read. he's sensitive about it so let's keep it just between us
Here it is the middle of August and the coldest day of the year. It's simply freezing; the dogs are sticking to the sidewalks; can anybody explain that? No.
But I'm not surprised. The whole world's at sixes and sevens, and why the house hasn't fallen down about our ears long ago is a miracle to me."

That is the only possible explanation.

I hate reality television. It's ruined all the good gossip columns. I don't want to read about horrible people like the Gosselins or Richard Hearne. Why can't life be about fabulous people any more?

we only care about fabulous people when they fall from grace . . . Tiger Woods, John Edwards, etc.

There is a whole other group of pseudo-celebrities created by the media, many of them from "reality" TV, who I have zero interest in following. Actually, it's stronger than that. I actively avoid reading about them and I'm pretty successful in keeping my mind free of such junk so I can focus on the latest food fads and baseball.

I'm surprised, too, because she has had a fair amount of cosmetic work done. The tummy tuck I can understand, but then she got those boobs that go on for days. And now she's paid $6,500 for something that looks like a collie climbed up on her head. She could've gotten a real collie for $1,200.
I feel sorry for the kids, too. Awfully cute. But the way the parents are acting now isn't much of a surprise. The decision to pursue a second set of multiples seems pretty ego-driven to me. You would hope for the sake of the kids they would just shut up. But you would be wrong.

My dad just asked me this! You should have seen the incredulous look on his face when I tried to explain who she was. Priceless!
