It is amazing that he maintained such a busy touring schedule after his stroke robbed him of much of his left-hand facility. I'm so sad I never got to see him play live.

An Oscar Peterson Christmas is one of a very few “Christmas Records” I own and will listen to. He'll surely be with me while I hang ornaments on the tree tonight. Godspeed, sir, and thanks for all the fine music.
