Oops. I should have posted about this before the actual event but I've been swamped. It was yesterday. It was really good. You could go around and sample about 30 different types of tamales and of course it's remarkable how different they are by region and chef. Robledo Winery was pouring and I was serving beans with lovely Sarah, who works for me on Saturdays. The music was a super duo in guayabera shirts who had a firm command of the Latin-American songbook. I got their card for a future event. I think it was a very good deal for $40, especially since it's for a good cause, the Benchmark Institute, which provides legal assistance to low-income families.
Anyway, it was a lot of fun, especially for me. I haven't done many farmers markets lately (OK- none) so it was fun to be back among the folks. A beautiful day at Fort Mason. You should go next year.

I would've gone yesterday! Glad it was a success and shame on you for not telling anyone about it!
Okay - reminds me that I simply need to get better about reading local goings-on event papers!
