I heard a pretty great version of Delroy Wilson doing Dylan's I shall be released.. this is not the version but, pretty cool. Nina's is my favorite version.

Subject to various hassles and irritations, I am finding it very therapeutic to play Rockpile's 1980 Live at Montreux album very loud. There must have bee very few better live rock and roll bands.

An appearance by Nick Lowe in town last week brought it to mind; I wish I'd known about that in advance.

Jack White: Blunderbuss (I love everything he's ever done, this included - other than The Dead Weather)

I played Blunderbuss a few times this past weekend. I'm a big fan of his sound.
Suffocating under a pile of cheese curds.

Regina Spektor, "Ne Me Quitte Pas." An old song she has re-done for her upcoming release. Completely unrelated to the Piaf/Brel/Simone song. It's very upbeat.
