As he's been all over the place recently, Cecil Taylor. Some of those early '60s albums are monsters. Music with edges and corners.

ETA: Who is more hep, Cecil Taylor or Lennie Tristano?

Folila, the new Amadou & Mariam album. They're playing Summerstage this year, BTW.

New Santigold, Master of My Make Believe. Not as good as M.I.A. when she's on, but more consistently good generally.

Cecil Taylor has to be at least five times as hep as Lennie Tristano.

Probably. Score blindness and obscurity for Lennie, but Cecil is black and a poet.

i don't listen to Django enough.

Starting Miss A slow today. She is sleeping so late today. I have walked dogs, dug holes, juiced various vegetables.. Going to do a little electric rocky before I bust out some "motivational" wake up music. I like some of these guyz'z songs..

I wouldn't be surprised if Prince turned out to be the best chef on the planet.

Dude can do anything.
