I just keep reminding myself: we have passed the solstice, nowhere to go but longer days.

The mourning doves have begun their spring hooting and cooing rituals on the rooftops and fire escapes just after sunrise every morning;a sure sign of spring ....

And here on the West Coast we are fully entrenched in Spring. Hayfever is unbearable and the flowers and trees are almost in full bloom. oh it's going to be a long allergy season...

Yeah, I ran out of bed an hour early today. Even woke Jack before I realized my mistake.

I get those too, only they like to perch on my ACs (and crap all over them). There was a very loud crow (or maybe a raven) hanging around the magnolia tree a couple of mornings ago, and I swear this past weekend a falcon was sitting on the neighbor's pear tree.
