Certainly greasy enough to satisfy any smoked meat craving - this was the full fat version (you would be considered a wuss to order the lean in any Montreal smoked meat joint). It was sliced at the shop and steamed here before serving. Good smoked flavour and a nice texture. The three of us chose different mustards to complement our sandwiches. Painterman went for an extra hot Löwensenf, I had a medium spicy Dutch, and our friend went all traditional with a French's ballpark yellow.
Vegetables were represented by Moishes's cole slaw and dills. Because we weren't being forced to drink cherry cola at Schwartz's, and in keeping with our Montreal theme, the drink of choice was McAuslan's Griffon Extra Pale.
