lex, players aren't judged only on their last few years. by that standard michael jordan wasn't very good either.

You know, "hater" is only a few letters from "hitler."

If you thought that Sanders was a great corner the last couple of years he was playing in Dallas you were smoking crack. All you needed to do was to use your eyes instead of listening to the commentators tell you how great he was.

he was first team all-pro 3 of his 4 years in Dallas. So either the entire sports media was just tricked by his stylish ways, or you are just being blinded by your dislike for the guy.

Same way all those other old white men do it - the "club" - even Chan Gailey is coaching.

Phillips happens to be a great defensive coordinator, who has had success pretty much everywhere he's been.
And he's white, which means that he's guaranteed a job.

I don't recall an off-season in 22 years with so little talk out of Valley Ranch. Hopefully this is good news. America needs it now more than ever.

Valley Ranch is located in Irving, Texas. When most people hear Valley Ranch the first thing they think of is the Dallas Cowboys. However, the people who live in Valley Ranch think of what a wonderful community they have chosen to call home.

Romo was 8 of 12 for 58 yards, while showing a little bit of what the Cowboys (1-1) love to see (a scrambling 6-yard touchdown pass to a sliding Jason Witten) and hate to see (an interception on a deep throw he never should’ve made).

Finally, some honest, non-biased, non-hating reporting about the greatest sports franchise the world has ever known and the true manifestation of all that is great about America.

You talk to the people who spend their days around the team and you would think there wasn't one decent player on the roster except maybe DeMarcus Ware, and he needs to speak up more.

A team that has Ware, Tony Romo, Miles Austin, Dez Bryant, Jason Witten, Felix Jones, Jay Ratliff, Anthony Spencer and Mike Jenkins on its roster has no reason to consider itself a "rebuilding" team on the order of a Buffalo or Cleveland.

Nothing wrong.

The Cowboys can be wisely future-focused and at the same time contend in 2011. These things are not mutually exclusive. It doesn't all have to be one extreme or the other -- not even with the Cowboys. I don't think they'll win their division and coast into the playoffs without a care, but I think they have enough very good players to make them a contender if they stay healthy and things break their way. The NFL has a lot of teams like that, and there's nothing wrong with being one of them.

11-5. Remember, they have a good schedule:the AFC East (Buffalo and Miami) and the NFC West (SF, Seattle, Arizona, STL).

But a lot depends on the O-line coming together.

I think they beat the Jets because Sanchez has too many new guys and no real running game. SF, Detroit, Buff, STL, Seattle, Miami, Arizona? The big question is whether they split with Philly/Giants or drop both games to each.

Jets
SF
Washington
Detroit
NE
ST Louis
Philly
Seattle
Buff
Washington
Miami
Arizona
Giants
TB
Philly
Giants

You heard it here first.

that's really a pretty easy schedule. 11-5 might be tough - but 10-6 or 9-7 seem quite reasonable.
