The World's "Best Restaurant" closed for good last weekend. Despite being packed to the gills every night, and just about impossible to get a reservation, the place closed, as announced several months ago by Mr. Adria.

The claim is that in spite of doing maximum patronage the place is losing 700,000E per year. He makes up for it by selling books, he says. Hmmm....

Apparently he's reopening in the disused diner right off the Hunters Point Ave. 7 stop in Queens.

How about some name-calling to round things out?

I really liked my meal at el bulli. a whole lot. my wife gets upset when I say it's the only thing I've ever done that a rich person couldn't simply buy.
