the only westwood heyday i could think of that this kentucky team could aspire to be compared to before winning any championships.

I am just glad you've come out of the woodwork to post some :) . The occasional cheesecake and MSP posts aren't enough. How are the dogs and the mini-Mongos?

Wisconsin through to the next round is a good thing for me. I like the matchup with Syracuse better than some of the talking heads. Syracuse seems to have a real chance of being frustrated by the Badgers' typical game plan.

Well Mr. Bonner, at least one of your teams is still in the tournament. I suspect, out of those two, it is not the one you expected to see advance to the Elite Eight  .

My women's bracket is officially shot to hell. Three of the teams I picked to make the Elite Eight are out. (Thanks a lot, Kansas and Gonzaga!)

Crud.

There is no god. (Actually I think OSU is a bad matchup for the Orange. God willing.)

Good thinking.

At any rate, I used to think that I knew something about basketball. I'm glad I'm not in any pool, since I've pretty much not only gotten the winning teams wrong continuously, and am still picking incorrectly on almost every single game. Case in point -- I really thought Butler matched up well and could pull off an upset. Instead, they get massacred. Kansas? Really... over NC??? It's not like the final four are major upset teams... its a 1, two 2s & a 4 seed. But I don't think I saw any of them coming, except maybe Louisville (although I would have bet Florida).

If you haven't watched Kentucky play, be sure to give them a look. This team is going to be special. They are going to make the team two years ago look like a JUCO team.

Not a bad call for the 2nd of December :P .

Clinic in the 1st half. Ugly, ugly second half. Protecting a lead in basketball is just like prevent defense in football-it usually prevents you from winning. Very happy the Cats hung on. Three pools won. And, another National Championship for the SEC.

Anthony Davis--and most likely at least 3 if not 5 other KY players coming to an NBA arena near you next year.

did you See Cal, World Wide Wes and CAA are basically putting SMU into business as a mini-Kentucky?

Must have realized that their Waco campus didn't have the coaching needed to not make the rest of the enterprise look foolish.

It will be interesting to follow the progression (in a lot of 'areas' in addition to the basketball court :ph43r: ).
