Fink is opening a new spot in East Harlem on December 8th!

He has been involved with a few locations in Bergen County, NJ and Rockland County, NY.

The last time Fink did BBQ well was at the hole in the wall Fink's Funky Chicken, which was great. Bailey's only got good after he left, and Johnny's was pretty terrible when he was there. (Haven't been back). We'll see if this one is any good, but the track record is spotty...

I have to admit that I haven't be enamored with his last two projects either. Perhaps I'm spoiled as I spend a lot of time in North Carolina. Who knows. I commented on the NJ thread, but man this guy gets around...

Is Dave Fink still associated with the Smokeshack?

There's a consensus he's no longer associated with the Pearl River NY affiliate.

Contrast this to Rutt's Hut, an old school Jersey hot dog legend. You can't even get across the parking lot without encountering pigeons who are so bold that they try to take bites of hot dogs from people who are walking to their cars. These pigeons are so brazen that they routinely shake down rats for lunch money.

He has indeed severed his relationship with the place in Pearl River.
