Today is one of my favourite days on the publishing calendar, when they announce the shortlist for The Diagram Prize for the most bizarre book titles of the last 12 months.

Particular favourites this year are "Cooking with Poo" and "Estonian Sock Patterns Around the World"

Previous winners can be found HERE and include the ever popular "Oral Sadism and The Vegetarian Personality" (1986) and "Reusing Old Graves" (1995)

I once submitted Gail Sheehey's Book "Understanding Men's Passages" but it seems it had very tough competition in 2001 from "Living With Crazy Buttocks"

Managing a Dental Practice the Genghis Khan Way

I'm not gonna lie - part of me thinks this should be an entire series of self-help books

"XXX the Genghis Khan Way"

Like "For Dummies" with a homicidal twist.

I've always been intrigued by a title on my chiropractor's bookshelf: The Bigness of the Fellow Within.

And Bonner: XXX the Genghis Khan Way? Genius.

If someone had published CBT The Gengis Kahn Way back when I was depressed, I bet my life would have been a lot different.

Next year, a book I just CEd should make the short list, at least:

The MILF Diet

the people who flock to dine at the restaurant on account of its reputation/stars are getting their money's worth because what they are after is a piece of the reputation/stars and nothing else. their money is not wasted. -- mongo jones, 11/5/2014

notorious stickler -- NY Times
deeply annoying and nitpicking -- Molly O'Neill, One Big Table

Let me channel LML for a moment here and say -- that sounds really painful.
