He's retiring the character. Edna has given me a lot of laughs over the years.

It's probably wise. I still pee my pants when I hear her but some of the routines have been around since the 70s. "What a lovely frock you have on, dear. Obviously an old favorite!"

You haven's seen Betrayal, then.I wish there was a video online of Dame Edna producing a "sausage surprise" for Joan Bakewell, the lovely but prim British TV presenter.
