Folks who haven't had their fill of disaster at sea movies may enjoy the three films at the Loews Jersey City theater. The Art Deco palace is showing the series on Friday, April 28, and Saturday, April 29.
During the year, the theater will screen silent movies, accompanied by the huge organ, as well as vintage 1930s films.
Loews
the theater is located on Journal Square in Jersey City, opposite the PATH station, and adjacent to the main police station for the city. It's about two blocks south of the city's "Little Manila" area on Newark Avenue.

"Peter Kiewit looked for three things in hiring people. He looked for integrity, intelligence and energy. And he said if a person didn’t have the first…that the latter two would kill him. Because if they don’t have integrity, you want ‘em dumb and lazy. You don’t want ‘em smart and energetic.”

That's a gorgeous theater. And very accessible from Manhattan. (we saw The Decemberists there about 5 years ago).
