how long can i hold a mornay sauce? and should it be held at room temp or in the fridge?

Fridge. Reheat on a very low light, or with a double boiler or bain marie. Or, transfer it to a thermos bottle.how long can i hold a mornay sauce? and should it be held at room temp or in the fridge?
