They're playing LPR June 15! (But I've already got a ticket to Jens Lekman and Of Montreal at the Northside Festival that night! Ugh!)

Sunk cost sir. Lekman and Of Montreal (it's not like this is the last chance to see those guys) are great live shows but if you've got to do this, do this.

Also, I'm planning to go to Stockholm at the end of the summer, so Jens Lekman would be an appropriate way to start it.

This (A-side and B) might have been my favorite single of 1978 -- a very good year for pop music.

It's a festival, so it's a BIG sunk cost.
That's the fallacy!!!
(you can resell, anyway)
((have you seen Lens live? Lots of fun)

Saw the dBs a lot back in the day, obvs.
(It's a 7:30 show. I can probably make it over to the festival afterward and still catch something.)

It's funny you should say this, actually. Cuz the way I was looking at it was that I could be a pathetic baby boomer and try to relive the past, or I could see people who are actually creating valid new music NOW. (OK, Of Montreal's last two albums were kind of a come-down.)
You know, like I wouldn't want to be one of those people who only go to classical concerts where they play Brahms, and not duYun or Derek Bermel or Kaia Saariaho or Neil Rolnick.

What do you always tell people who don't know what to order? Order what you most want to eat! If you want to enjoy the kids, skip the codgers, though Kevin Barnes is pushing 40...
