I just got around to seeing the DVR of Wednesday's opening episode on TNT, and I must say I am impressed. Larry Hagman, Linda Gray and Patrick Duffy are back. Duffy looks the best of the three. Charlene Tilton put in a brief appearance looking like a hot mess--actually more mess than hot. And Steve Kanaly was also on view looking pretty much the same. The focus is now on the younger generation, and in particular John Ross and Christopher (the sons of J. R. and Bobby) and their significant others. Now, with the maturing of the younger generation multi-level double crosses and chicanery are possible if not encouraged. If you like scheming, betrayal, revenge, corruption and lust, this is for you. If not, go watch Joel Osteen.
I'd give it all up, for just a little bit more.

“One thing kids like is to be tricked. For instance, I was going to take my little nephew to Disneyland, but instead I drove him to an old burned-out warehouse. 'Oh, no!', I said, 'Disneyland burned down.' He cried and cried, but I think that deep down he thought it was a pretty good joke. I started to drive over to the real Disneyland, but it was getting pretty late.”

I'm told she got killed in a fire years ago and so went off to do infomercials.

Several episodes in, I have to say this is very true to the original and the old players are getting to have major participation in the process. I'd say the only shortcoming thus far is that the younger women actors are not as comely as those in the original (hard to compete with the likes of Lois Chiles, Priscilla Presley, Victoria Principal, Morgan Brittany, et al.). Speaking of La Principal, rumors abound that there is a move to get her on the show somehow (flashback?).
Interesting to see that Ken (Cliff Barnes) Kercheval has made his way back into the proceedings.

ETA: Morgan Fairchild
I'd give it all up, for just a little bit more.
