Miner Simpson Vineyard Viognier '09 -- Medium straw yellow, peaches, floral notes, some citrus, elegant profile, maybe a bit dry, ample acid, versatile and food friendly (even with the gazpacho). [VG - E]

Served with Gazpacho

Ch Margaux '78 -- Still dark red, cigar box, medium dark berry fruits, some smoke and tobacco, some cedar, still elegant and viable, earthy notes, could perhaps be more expressive. [E]

Served with Filet Mignon Foie Gras Port Wine Reduction...

Freudenmacher Erben Ungsteiner Herrenberg Scheurebe Trockenbeerenauslese '81 -- Golden yellow, impressive bouquet, nutty, deep fruits, apricots etc., unctuous, medium acid, thick but still fresh and lively. [E]
