I was surprised at his age, too. He's younger than my parents, but I always thought he was much older.

He had an impressive television history. Nearly forty years is a pretty good run for any actor.

I'm surprised to read that The Jeffersons ran until 1986. In my head it's so embedded into the 1970s that it seems out of place, even in the early 80s.
