Is there a better slice than Muzarella's near the top of Avenue A? Little hole-in-the-wall, I think it's excellent. Omni, did you try it on my recommendation a while back?

Minca is better than Momofuku? Haven't been to either.Minca - best ramen (I just saw that a location of Menkui-tei opened, which I haven't tried yet)
I think Kasadela is good - better than Village Yokocho - but I haven't sampled the Stuyvesant Street area izakaya contenders.

Haven't used it. It might be the best, but from what I've seen it's not very exciting. Generally buy cheese outside the neighborhood.How's that East Village Cheese Shop these days (I think it's called that, right?)
