I can see Dowel Products (or however they spell it now) becoming the Angel's Share of EV beer stores (oh, they were great, back in the day...).

Caffe Buon Gusto (5th Street and Avenue B) didn't last long. It has been replaced by Oda House, offering Georgian-Mediterranean cuisine.
There are people here know much more than me about Georgian food, and I'd be interested to know what you think of the menu. They do have the walnut sauce.

I'm finding it harder to see the Mediterranean part.
I might go for lunch this week.
You guys liked Mari Vanna when it opened right?
ETA: It looks like Georgian with some Russified things going on (like the sour cream)

Thanks, that's interesting.
Maia Acquaviva is the Managing Partner of Oda House. An award winning chef, Georgia native and trained plastic surgeon.
There are multiple off-color jokes in there but not enough of a Georgian stereotype in the US to support them.

Georgian food. Bah. I am still digesting my dinner from Cafe Mistake 2 years ago.

I have this place on my to-go list--I really want that khachapuri. It's also a lot closer to me than Brighton Beach is.
