Have any members been on the Paris-Rome or Prague-Paris legs of the Orient Express? What determines whether one gets the Lalique or other dining cars on one's train? What are the meals like and is good wine included? <_<

Can't say I have. However, I have dined on the Twentieth Century Limited, where my milk was poured for me out of an individual glass bottle and my Aunt Ida insisted on ordering broiled calf's liver for me.

OEH (the parent company) owns a wide range of luxury properties, including hotels, restaurants, and several train lines. Cirpriani's Hotel in Venice, 21 Club in NY, and Orient-Express train lines in Malaysia, Europe and Botswana are among the properties.
Dee and I looked at the trip in 1999, but decided to pass on it at that time. I believe theuy have three sets of train equipment in Europe, originating at different points, crossing, and terminating on a set schedule. For example, a train originating in Rome would terminate in Paris the following morning, and become the Prague train of the same evening. The two days earlier Paris to Prague train would be turning at the same time to return to Paris from the Czech Republic.
The Lalique would undoubtedly be in one of the consists. The company could advise which days / origins.
