I need to take four people for dinner in Manhattan, and need a really good restaurant, with nice atmosphere and moderately priced. Thanks in advance for your tips.

It is my great grandmother's 100th birthday on Friday and I need to take her somewhere appropriate. From all the recommendations, I've narrowed it down to either Le Bernardin or Sammy's Roumanian. You guys choose for me.

I want to take my boss out for a big time New York City meal-to- impress, but I need to stay within my budget. Where can I knock his socks off for under $20 a head (including a drink)?

You plagiarized these from Chowhound!
I'd give it all up, for just a little bit more.

Dude, have you been smoking your socks again?

The darkness drops again; but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born,
and sets a food discussion site?

You must run don't walk to Eastern Surprise, where you are assured of a welcome like family. The decor is redolent of the old empire, and every dish elicits the personal attention of the skilled chef. Patrons are coming again and again and are saying it is the only place now to eat.
