New Hampshire. I, too, am due. But then, I always am.

I'm going for a walk. New shoes! The thrill! I'll stopover in Aptos, if I feel like it.

Just made plans to go to Croatia in October, woo! It turned out that airfare from Rome was shockingly high, so I'll have to train and ferry it out there. Which means a relatively short stay there (in Split, mostly), but I'll get to head through Urbino on the way home.

Trying to go up North later this year, but the cost of gas is worrisome.

Madison isn't boring. It's a great town, and you should enjoy it. Do you happen to like cheese?

Turkey for the total eclipse of the sun next March. Very excited... I missed the one in 99 and it's supposed to be pretty extraordinary. It will also be black sea turbot season, which I've heard equally good things about. Mmmm.

Well, next I'm going to class, and then I'm going home, and then I'm going to bed. And then I'm waking up, and then I'm going to work. Repeat a hundred million more times.

Oh, in a few weeks I'm going to Michigan :o

Well, didn't get to go to England - conference was cancelled due to low enrollment - round about the time of the underground bombings. And my store was actually PAYING for me to go....grrrrr...

Leaving for Oz October 4. Got an invitation today from a wine vendor to tour "his" winery in McLaren Vale - all sorts of hearty offers were made of tours, tastings, lunch and promises to find us good lodgings! The members of Les Dames d'Escoffier in Adelaide are putting on a cooking class evening for me when we are in that city. I can't WAIT to get out there!!

Oh: and then there's Colombia some time VERY early next year, we hope, to pick up our new daughter in Bogota.

Life is good.
